Paula and Graham, a marvellous couple from the UK! Their love for Crete inspired their wedding on this beautiful island of Greece.
The couple had a micro-wedding in a villa with just 8 guests. Originally, guests were more, but many cancelled at the last minute because of covid. A few days before the wedding, Paula and Graham thought of transferring their wedding reception to a restaurant, considering that many of their friends would not be able to travel from the UK and Germany. Eventually, they did not change plans. The reception and the dinner would be held at the outdoor area of a luxurious villa, next to the pool with a breath-taking view to the sea and the sunset. But, on the big day, after five months of absolutely no rain, the skies opened up! It was raining non-stop all day long. Our team contacted our meteorologist, who told us that the rain would stop at 15.30. We trusted him and began decorating and lighting the space. Our associates called us crazy to continue with the wedding, as it was raining incessantly all over Crete and events were cancelled one after the other. Yet, indeed, the rain stopped there at 15.30 sharp. It was incredible! The sun was shining between the clouds!
We started decorating the wedding table.

Considering their love for Greece, the couple could choose no other colour but blue for the decoration of their table. Golden cutlery, elegant crystal glasses, porcelain rental tableware, navy blue hand cloths and custom-made stationery with golden details. The favours for guests were small bottles of organic Cretan olive oil decorated with the Greek Eye.
Guests arrived at 17.30, welcomed by a table full of organic Cretan fruit, raki, mastiha liqueur and homemade lemonade.
The bride walked down the aisle under the sound of classical music and there was a champagne reception with live saxophone music after the ceremony.
The best catering company prepared a unique wedding dinner with organic food, fresh fish and exquisite Cretan wine.
The evening’s highlights were the Cretan dancers and traditional musicians that incited guests to get up and dance like Cretans. It was a wonderful evening!
Paula and Graham are one of the couples that we will always consider our friends!
