Kalliopi, who comes from the beautiful Aegean island of Chios, found true love in the face of Dinos, who comes from Crete. They live in New York. The couple chose Chania, the groom’s birthplace, for their wedding.
160 relatives and friends travelled to Crete for this lovely wedding.
Two days before the wedding, we organised a fabulous pre-wedding party at a traditional Cretan restaurant with a breath-taking view to the White Mountains. The food were authentic local creations, including Cretan mezes, Cretan chicken wedding risotto, lamb roasted in the wood oven and food cooked on the grill. The party lasted till early hours, with the guests enjoying the loud music and dancing all night long.
The orthodox ceremony took place at a beautiful chapel of Chania next to the sea, with a breath-taking view and a magical sunset. The reception was held at a luxury hotel of Chania, right by the sea.
For their wedding, the couple chose white flowers and fine elegant decorations. For the church, they chose a big round arch of white flowers and leaf foliage. All spotlights were on the bride, when she arrived in a classic antique car wearing a wedding gown with a 4-metre long train of lace.
After the ceremony, the new couple was photographed next to the sea, while guests were offered plenty of champagne and cocktails in the sounds of a fabulous live concert of one talented guitar player with a magical voice!

Golden cutlery and luxurious chandeliers decorated the bridal table at the wedding dinner, while the entrance and other tables were lit by countless candles. The luxurious welcome table included traditional sweets from Crete and Chios, mastiha liqueur, raki and rakomelo. The bride surprised the groom offering him a handmade tablet engraved with words reflecting their love.
Tables were decorated with elegant centerpieces, pink gold glass bowls with balls of leaf foliage, linen hand cloths and luxurious rental tableware.
The entrance of the couple was very impressive, featuring ground and sky fireworks, loud music and much clapping by their guests. At the end of the hallway, there was a big chessboard-like dancing floor and an impressive 3-tier wedding cake decorated with fresh and silk flowers.
The wedding menu was delightful and the open bar lasted all night long. Most guests stayed at the hotel of the reception. For the ones that had decided to stay elsewhere, the couple had made provisions for a coach car that was there to take them to their hotels safely.
A destination wedding enjoyed by all guests till early morning hours.
